I Got Your Back

Yesterday toward the end of my biweekly check-in with my manager, he told me that there was a request for me to relinquish my office. Well, the backdrop is that employees from another building are being asked to vacate a building and move into my building. Fortunately, my manager pushed back and refused to approve of my displacement. He requested the floor plan of the building where he saw the many empty offices and cubicles and that I sit among my HR colleagues. I was so glad that he had my back when I didn’t even know it. Of course, I thanked him for looking out for me.

As I reflect on this today, it reminded me of God having my back. There are so many things that are going on in the spirit realm that could impact or harm me that I have no idea what is occurring. Not just bad things He is keeping from me, blocking, and tackling to keep me safe. But I am sure there are positive things that He’s crafting for me as well. Just like in the picture where my uncle and I are looking out into the ocean not knowing that my aunt was taking our picture.

What a blessing to know that someone whether it’s your manager, a friend, coworker, or the Lord has your back! This allows me to sleep soundly at night because of the confidence I have in the Lord. He loves me just that much.

This is for you too, not just me. He loves you and He’s got your back in whatever you’re going through or waiting for. Rest and sleep well knowing this.
